Carrie Lederer is a painter, sculptor, and installation artist whose nature-inspired work is exhibited throughout the United States. A recipient of the prestigious Fleishhacker Foundation Eureka Award, Lederer has completed public art commissions for Facebook and the Cities of San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Emeryville, and Walnut Creek. Additional commissions include work for UCSF Medical Center, Hudson Valley Seed Company, Imagery Winery, and numerous private collections. In 2023, her work was acquired by the City of San Francisco for the new 49 South Van Ness building, which houses a broad range of city departments.

Lederer has created site-specific installations for Turtle Bay Museum, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, Art Source, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and many other institutions. Her work is held in notable collections including the Oakland Museum of California, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, Stanford Medical Center, First Western Trust Bank, and Prudential Insurance Co., New York.

Lederer’s work has been profiled in Create! Magazine and is featured in Art That Heals, a coffee table book documenting the art collection at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. She was the cover subject of MUSES, published by the MSU Department of Arts and Letters, and her work appears in the nationally recognized New American Paintings catalogue. Critical coverage of her practice has appeared in ARTnews, the San Francisco Chronicle, 48 Hills, Diablo Magazine, and SquareCylinder.
