Artist Bio

Gay Heit is a ceramic artist living in San Francisco, California. She initially came to clay as a break from working as a chef but quickly became addicted to the medium and the idea of creating her own serving dishes, and now creates full-time in her home studio. Having been a functional potter for the past 12 years, Gay has begun exploring sculptural pieces and participating in both soda and wood firings.
