Jakupsil Collective

A collage of four floral-themed artworks including a LEGO cactus plant, a white flower with Easter egg decorations, a painting of orange and pink flowers, and a traditional Asian-style painting of lotus flowers.

Jakupsil is pleased to present recent works by Anikoon, Paul Choate, Donghwan Kim, Dohwa Kim, Suyeon Lee and Adam Umbach. The presentation brings together six artists whose recent practices engage flora and emotional charge in dialogue with the psychological residue of everyday objects, shaped by contemporary consumer culture.

Jakupsil 작업실 is the Korean term for a studio, atelier, or laboratory—a transdisciplinary space dedicated to the processes of making, spanning art, architecture, and cultural production. Rooted in both physical construction and conceptual inquiry, Jakupsil members activate vacant spaces through exhibitions, spatial interventions, and artist-led initiatives that blur the boundaries between studio, site, and narrative.
