Artist Bio Jane Fisher is an Oakland-based figurative artist. She received her BFA in painting from Ohio University and her MFA in painting from The Art Institute of Chicago.

Her work has been represented by Struve Gallery and Lyons-Wier Gallery in Chicago, and Hackett-Freedman Gallery and Campbell Gallery in San Francisco.

She has had over thirty solo exhibitions and has participated in many group shows across the United States. She was the recipient of two Elizabeth Greenshield Grants for representational painting.

She is also a Professor of Painting and Figure Drawing at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA.
