Artist Bio

I make paintings where movement and minimalism slam into colorful, dynamic marks and colors dance with energy. I want them to have an all at once feeling. A rush of joy. A hit of possibility. I’m drawn to how abstract, calligraphic lines can instantly evoke a feeling. I explore the tension between confident strokes and minimal space—where every mark holds weight, and what’s left unpainted is just as intentional as what’s there. Each piece starts with loose gestures, lassoed lines, and puddles of color. It’s messy, physical, and full of surprises. I work big so I can move—swipe, drag, pour, stretch. It’s a dance that builds momentum, and I follow it. I’m always chasing that feeling—that full-body YES. That spark. That moment when the painting feels alive and charged and too much in the best way. It’s the deep breath—and the leap.
