The Living Archive is a two-part immersive fashion show & experiential exhibit celebrating regenerative design, cultural heritage, textile repair, and community connection.

The presentation at Startup Art Fair San Francisco brings together up to 15 local makers and designers to transform upcycled textiles, heirloom fabrics, and reclaimed materials into wearable art — all while fostering meaningful connections between designers, repair communities, and the local fashion community.

Kara Fabella is a San Francisco-based multidisciplinary creative working at the intersection of fashion styling, fair fashion advocacy, community building, event production, and content creation.

A former advocate at global nonprofit Remake, she collaborates with brands and organizations advocating for accountability and transparency, going against the traditional fashion industry model. Her recent work as a wardrobe stylist on independent film aims to amplify underrepresented voices.
